More taxes, higher water bills, oh my oh my

Well, they are at it again - threatening to hold us hostage with taxes or decreased services. Hey Reed - how about a special tax on all the revelers. They'd never notice another 50 cents added to the cover charge.

What galls me most is probably the sewer/water increases. All of us who bought efficient low water toilets and washers and dishwashers, we will be paying more because we dared use less. Some incentive.

Unbelievable meeting tonight..Unfricken believable. Council asked ALL THE RIGHT QUESTIONS of the city admin..sell the artifacts....sell the civil war museum...pressed 'em about water rates oh man..unbelievable..the city has to borrow money to make the payroll, but the Mayor just spent 68 grand on MORE ARTIFACTS....jezz it was a thing of beauty..can't wait to see how this plays out...finally the Emperor has no clothes. Even the public participation speakers hit big points...awesome

That is hilarous Jim! I pray that you are right: that council has teeth...preferably a nice set of canines and not dentures.

As for Mayor Miguelito Loveless' Wild Wild West Collection, it is nice to hear that issue addressed.

My head is reeling on the point that an additional $68K was spent on this failed idea. Can't he just watch Deadwood on HBO... I want this city on solid financial footing. I know it is not easy business being Mayor, but doesn't he realize how this looks???

Just think, if he liked animals as much as the Old West, we'd have a stinkin' Zoo. At least that would be somewhat viable compared to a museum scheme that has no historical ties to this region.

...Lions and Tigers and Higher Taxes, oh for the love of God no more Western Artifacts!!!!
