Facing layoffs, city employees read my blog

Come on, folks. If you are facing such a budget deficit and possible layoffs, shouldn't you be working rather than cruising the Internet and reading my blog? Because that's what at least one city employee is doing this morning. Note the recurring vists this morning. At least bookmark the blog instead of spending tax dollars doing a google search! Don't knock them Anniken. Your blog may be their only link to news not filtered by the Reed Machine! Keep posting updates, perhaps some poor soul at City Hall will know to expect a pink slip! By the way, did anyone get the layoff list yet?

They're watching.

And those 'in the know' understand that people like us are the NEW media.

You got that right! It seems when ever blogs like this one or Penn Live starts a buzz, the Patriot or the TV News picks it up the exact same day. Also, some of the comments coming out of City Council I could swear are verbatim with posts on PennLive. This form of media is definately the wave of the future, it's where I go for the latest information.
