Plan to test censors

Assuming they don't read this blog, here is my plan. I will post various comments on what appear to be topics that are being censored, such as comments on Ron Buxton (as anon says his post on that topic was removed) and some in favor of the Mayor and some in favor of Smith and some on censorship, etc. I will immediately print the post to show it actually was posted. I will catalog its removal or non-removal. Then I will go to a friend of mine who is a reported for a major news daily and see if they are interested in doing a story.

We will see what remains in the morning, and then I start posting the test questions.

Interesting...but the blog address is still there.

I would suggest either manually making copies of the affected forums or finding some sort of caching software.

It's one thing to talk about missing posts, it's another to actually see them disappear.

I noticed all the posts from yesterday are gone. Why has this just started to happen in the past month? Where was the censor before that? All these deletions started when questioning Jason Smith's identity in posts....are they trying to erase Jason Smith? Did he ever really exist? WHO was really behind that screen name? And, Where is Jason Smith?....that is the new catch phrase around town, let's hear it everyone....WHERE IS JASON SMITH?????

I am pretty darn sure that jasonsmith is actually jason smith. I know him and it would be pretty hard for someone to be that right on his game.

But you are right - I don't remember seeing deletion before the last month or so.

I only tend to disagree with your thought that they are trying to delete jason. I don't see much of his stuff deleted; just posts referring to him, his screen names, etc. His actual posts are hardly ever removed.

P.S.

If you want to see Jason up close, go to Mantis Collective (on North Street just off of 2nd Street) tomorrow night at 7ish for his artist debut.....

He's an artist?

Actually, my daughter's boyfriend's lunch box is there, too.

Then you have an excellent reason to go.

He's not so much an artist. They are paintings of toilets. Or maybe they aren't paintings. I just know that they aren't actual toilets.

But that would make it funny.

He did paintings of TOILETS.

Meanwhile, a great local artist gets overshadowed by Smithy's need to be the center of attention.

TOILETS.

Something oddly appropriate about that.

I have to work out until around 7pm, but after a shower and a stiff drink, I'll be there

Smith isn't the first to utilize the "toilet" in art. Check out the DaDa Movement. Give him credit for poor taste but don't give him credit for orginality! But I will say, this rebellion thing he has going on is consistent and typical of Smith.
See this website, boring but descriptive of DaDa
