Reporting on Heroin in Harrisburg

I've read the coverage of the recent heroin overdoses in Harrisburg, and was surprised to read another account of the problem in the Philadelphia Inquirer. According to Reed, the problem is that the heroin is too pure, but the Philly articled attributes it to the drug used to cut the drug. I wonder, which is it?

I'm wondering why heroin is popular again? Could it be the price? Jeez, will there ever be an end to illegal drug use? Yes, when they make it legal and cheap to buy....There will always be drug users, its only human nature, (defective genes and a hopeless environment), but sometimes unavoidable. Perhaps what they need is medical attention and not jail?

I was shocked at the idea that deaths = greater sales. Talk about twisted logic and great marketing. But I heard none of this in the Patriot articles

Thanks for the link to that article. Perhaps this batch of bad heroin is not the same as in Harrisburg? Like I said, these folks need medical attention, they are a SICK bunch!
