Crime at Green and Muench

Today the Patriot ran a story about the crime problems at Green and Muench. Apparently there have now been a total of three murders over the last few years within a two block area. Anyone know how that compares to other Harrisburg hotspots?

What hundred block it that? Is it around the Polyclinic Hospital?

No it's not near Polyclinic.

It's the 1900-ish block.

Three blocks from me, to be precise.

Hey anon:

Question for you.

Why is that channels 21 and 27 always seem to have more information on crime than the Patriot News? I know they have more opportunity to present current and breaking news, but with the know at noon updates, the patriot has many opps, too.

It just fascinates me.

Thoughts?

Very good question, Jones. I am sure that we won't have a weigh-in on that from Anon though because you made a perfectly valid point.

Oh - I know why the patriot doesn't report the same crime as the TV stations do.

The TV stations have COMPETITION.

Speaking of, I think the tv stations should start forums like Pennlive has.

They do the news better, why not the internet, as well?

Since I work for an organization that owns one of those stations, perhaps I'll suggest it...

Yeah, a forum linked to a TV station, I like that idea. Or a forum, a radio station and a talk show host, all talking together. What topics not appropriate or too controversial for the FCC censor would fly on the internet forum. That could be interesting....maybe that is our niche, Harrisburg Happening UNCENSORED!

Speaking of uncensored, I am able to log onto PennLive. I opened a new screen name using a different email address and Wa La! But since Milton cruises this website I'm not going to tell what my new screen name is, let him figure it out! But I will give YOU a hint Hbg1, it's also related to Savannah. Ha, Ha, let's see how smart or well traveled Milton is???

You know I like a walk in the park as much as the next person, but the surrounding streets are just as nice! Sometimes you just have to sit back and smell the roses! Welcome back Hbg1, your return is like a breath of fresh air!!
