Has the censor given up?

Did we win? There are several posts up mentioning censorship - including one by TattooJim. if so, good.

There does seem to be quite a bit of hysteria over the Horton shooting. The family members appear to be venting - when they should be acting. Seems to me they need a good civil rights attorney, not a march or angry postings on PennLive.

I take it back - I just saw the post by gastonstreet - about the deletions. Maybe Milton is just distracted and can't keep up with deletions.

Yeah, take a look today, Filthyman is back with the same old tired story about wanting public executions. Milton must be overwhelmed by the Horton family and there combative remarks. Hard to sympathize with people yelling at you for questioning their interpretation of the events. I wasn't there, but I just find it hard to believe the police let him lie there and bleed to death for three hours! No, I can't believe that, no way...Doesn't make any sense to me. Perhaps I am naive but in my world that kind of aberation does not take place. Maybe I have my head in the sand, God I hope not! Please God, let that not be the case....

I also find it hard to believe that they let him bleed to death over hours. And someone suggested Polyclinic? HELLO?!? Um, that's not really an option since it's not a hospital anymore. I don't even know if they had a trauma center EVER. Did they?

That whole situation has me annoyed. I feel for those people but...well, they aren't helping matters.

And have you SEEN the Emerald Market??????? It's a MESS.

I'm thinking about taking some photos at Emerald.

Poly isn't a hospital anymore as far as I know. The trauma centers are Harrisburg and Hershey. As I posted at PennLive, they need to commence the lawsuit - then they can take discovery and get 911 tapes, sworn testimony from the EMS crew, all the stuff that would show what really happened.

Right now, I think this is a flashpoint and a very worrisome one

I agree, it is a flashpoint, and the family knows it. I think that is why they are posting on PennLive. To stir up the people, media, and keep attention on the issue. I hope that report comes out soon, the longer they wait, the more police opposition there is. Like I said in another post, summer is coming and there is going to be a riot. It is a battle ground out there, and we don't need "cop haters" on the loose. It will be mayhem in the streets this summer!

I threw in my two cents on the Horton shooting...none of it seems to add up, from either the family's side of the cops' side. Of course isn't this usually the case when people get shot by cops? The cops keep details a secret and the victim's family/friends say all kinds of claims about the incident. Neither side wants to look wrong or bad.

As for the censorship issue...Tattojim's comment is still up but jones was deleted. I think they are trying to be more slick and superstealth. Too bad Pennlive is so slow on the uptake. For example: how long did it take them to start rearranging the post #'s so that you couldn't tell which #'s were deleted?

They recognize they are losing people due to the censorship but still feel it is necessary obviously. It should be interesting to watch how this internal struggle plays out.

The Horton family is back on PennLive today repeating the same story....why do they continue to post? I won't be responding anymore, enough already! Like I said, they need to focus their efforts downtown where it will do some good. What can be accomplished on an internet forum?
