Yeah, I was censored! And I just left a message on PennLive about censorship...we will see how long it stays on the board! This whole censorship thing has me feeling dismayed. It used to be re-assuring to log on to PennLive to complain or make public the shit that was happening in Harrisburg. At least I didn't feel alone, combating crime, political corruption and the like. But ever since the PennLive censors got wind that "free speech" was alive and well in Harrisburg they have been putting the brakes on. I wish those censors would keep their nose out of "our" business and let us say our piece again!! GO HOME CENSORS!! In the meantime keep this blog going....we need you!!

Yep, me too - I have been censored MANY times for absolutely no reason (that I can see...no violation of their policy - nothing slanderous, obscene, not calling someone out on who they actually are - even though I know who several of the people are just from their posts...). I have only been banned from PL once or maybe twice and not for long.

I would LOVE to hear their real story, not the bullshit they told to TattooJim. I don't buy that for one freaking second.

I was censored and banned for life. Why? I do not know.

I never accused anyone of sleeping with someone, having a disease, being an embezzler, a murderer or anything slanderous.

I never signed on under a screen name posing as someone else. I never published anyone's email address and encouraged the public to harrass said person. I never tried to "out" anyone and "expose" them.

Did I mention I never called anyone a MURDERER?!?

Sure I may have been a little "rowdy" from time to time, but the worst I ever did was give some (stupid) people a hard time. And by stupid, I mean all of the people who actually DID engage in the above slanderous acts, who were somehow NEVER booted off.

I can still post but will be banned again soon because I just asked why smoke signals were deleted.

Milton sucks.

Here we go again...Milton is Back! Jeez, I'm thinking Milton gets paid by the number of deletions or blocks he makes? That makes about as much sense as his method of deletion which is only known to him. Perhaps he should read the forum visitors agreement? For his next employee review...an F in "follows directions". Milton, if I were your boss, you would be looking for a new job!! P.S. Just don't burn the building down on your way out!!

And my post asking why the bbq posts were deleted was deleted. This sucks and it is censorship for absolutely no reason. I want an effing explanation.

Milton is an ass. Per your email that you sent out. It's like he gets off on this.

Oh wait. He does. Becaue I'm just guessin' that Milty doesn't get much lovin'.

(I smell small-man syndrome, if you get my meaning)

I say we start a "super sleuth" agency and find out who Milton is....we could be the next "Charles Angels", can I be Lucy Lu???

If I get to be Cameron Diaz.

We're on to Milton. Someone thinks they're being smart but not so much.

Oh, and of course I was booted too...for a post complaining about deleted posts...Mayor Reed just HAS to be in this somehow...to protect the vision of Camelot..

The mayor ain't in on this.

Sorry, bud.

I made a habit of OBNOXIOUSLY supporting the mayor on that forum....

My ass was one of the first to go.

Well jones' he has his hands in the patriot somehow..only a small jump to PL...how else can you explain it? Just because you OBNOXIOUSLY supported him isn't cover enough...I think he's involved somehow...

Of course you do.

P.S.

Tattoo - not sure if you know this or not, but the Mayor doesn't even have a computer. He has a typewriter. And not an electric one, either. I don't think it even has correction ribbon.

Not that it's not all part of "the big conspiracy", though. I am sure that Randy King (the real one) doesn't look at PL and then go running to Steve to tell him to call someone at PL to pull stuff. (Please read this second paragraph with a sense of sarcasm as I intended.)

I think there's definitely some funny business, but I am pretty sure that the Mayor isn't responsible for what Milton is doing.

I second that the Mayor has nothing to do with this. It is true, he has no computer. Now, I do think that someone on staff at least reads letters to the editor - but not PennLive forums. Seems very unlikely

people give the mayor way too much credit (or is that blame...or both really). I vote for it being a corporate wash job.

Oh and I get deleted too. Of course I haven't been on PL much this past month so it is hard to be kicked off if you never get on.

Yeah I've been deleted just for asking why posts were deleted. It's becoming a worthless forum where anything and everything is there one day, and gone the next.

I've done a cursory study of the other Advance.net forum sites and noticed that their censorship is significantly less than on PennLive...at least based upon the fewer post number gaps. Does that indicate something is amiss locally?

Perhaps if we question higher management at Conde Nast about this they could offer some insight.
